So This is Where Amal Clooney Gets Her Amazing Style From

The world’s been pretty much enamored with Amal Clooney’s style ever since one Mr. George Clooney pulled her up onto a global stage (pre-Oscar de la Renta wedding dress, when she was still Amal Alamuddin). The lawyer has shown to be fearless with her fashion, picking bold colors, arresting shapes, and power accessories: remember the pristine white elbow-length gloves she pulled out for her first major award show appearance? Golden Globes style will never be the same.

We’ve already figured out that a fierce fashion sense runs in the family thanks to her little sister, Tala Alamuddin. After a holiday party in London last night, it’s become pretty apparent that both girls got it from their mama. Ladies, meet Baria Alamuddin.

Mrs. Alamuddin shares both of her daughters’ style sensibilities, seeming to never shy away from brights or unexpected picks. Chocolate brown isn’t a color done much for formal wear, but we give her sparkly look two thumbs-up. (It goes without saying that Amal’s silver culottes and matching crop top is a win).

Earlier this fall she jazzed up another neutral base with a cobalt coat and a massive bib necklace. Her texturized topper, finished with fringed tassel on the sleeves and hem, reminds us of an outfit Amal picked for a date night last winter.

Amal, seen here with both her parents, has worn her fair share of statement-making toppers. This snap proves it’s something she learned from her mother, with Baria in a delicate lace number that reminds you all outerwear needn’t be designed with just warmth in mind (though, of course, those are mega-important too).
