These Are the Cheerleaders of Instagram: Stylish, Insanely Popular, and Ready to Inspire Your Dressing

We spent all summer getting familiar with some of the chicest ladies around, whether they were up-and-coming Hollywood starlets, ballerinas, royals, British style stars, or bombshells about to blow up Victoria’s Secret. We’re keeping our eyes on other names you need to know, starting with some spirited social stars.

Prepare to fall into an Instagram rabbit hole that’s gonna feel a little weird. At some point a few months ago I stumbled onto the massively popular account of Jamie Andries, followed her, and didn’t think much about it until our office started buzzing about the cheerleader accounts taking over Instagram. These girls are Popular (that capital letter is no typo, BTW), and while a scroll through their accounts reveals plenty of oversize hair bows, amazing athletic feats, and bright workout togs, there are plenty off-duty style moments you can learn from, no tumbling skills required.

Don’t think all cheerleaders are all prep, all the time. Gabi Butler’s personal style leans toward an on-trend ’90s vibe, acid-washed denim, studded sneakers, and baby tee included.

The bows and sparkles that go along with the sport remind me of a very athletic Barbie and that feminine feel carries over IRL too. Jamie Andries’s regular outfits include a lot of floral prints, including pretty off-the-shoulder tops and ankle booties (a combo I love).

Outside of the gym is an opportunity for these girls to play around with new silhouettes and trends. I loved this graphic tank mixed with loose black, harem-like pants. It’s a comfy outfit that wouldn’t look totally out of place at a Pilates class but also works with sandals and sunnies for shopping.
