According to Queen Bey, girls run the world. But it’s often a different story when it comes to your closet. Do a little google search on the front person behind the silky labels gracing most of our favorite clothing and there is, more often than not, a man behind the name. But that’s not to say there aren’t plenty of very talented, very cool women who are either in top creative fashion jobs or own their own brands (after all, it makes sense that women know what women want, right?).

Glamour‘s own Editor-in-Chief Cindy Leive proved it during New York Fashion Week this February when she took up the challenge to wear only clothing designed by women for the entire week, to help launch the brand’s #DesignedByHer initiative—a digital and social media campaign that gives a big shout out to all the female designers out there. And since it’s International Women’s Day on March 8, we’re handing the baton to you.
