We’re SO Happy Keri Russell (and Her Perfect Outfits) Are Back in the Spotlight

I’ve had a Keri Russell crush for a while now, and I’m so (so!) happy she’s back in the spotlight showing off some seriously amazing outfits. I’ve been into her since Felicity foreshadowed nearly all of my own internal feelings about growing up and going to college, and now I love watching her in The Americans (seriously, it’s so good, guys!). While the KGB spy thriller doesn’t really have the same connections with my own life, I can still obsess over her outfits.

Part of why she gets it so right is how she sticks to simple, classic pieces that never make it look like she’s trying too hard. Outfits like this one, with a lace dress and long blazer, look like she picked it simply because she liked it. Trying to impress others? Overrated.

She has a rock-star side I adore too (totally helped by the fact she has all that messy hair going on). Skinny black pants and a tank were topped by a midnight blue metallic blazer, and, all together, it’s way cooler than any cocktail dress I’ve ever seen.

Even a simple dress, picked to visit David Letterman, is a little different thanks to the wrap front and single button. Plus, doesn’t she look really comfortable? No one’s ever looked that relaxed and happy in a bandage dress, ever.

See what I mean about the rocker edge? For an airport run, she wore basics that we all probably count in our closets (skinny jeans? white tee? leather jacket?) and it. looked. awesome.
