Proof That Pumping Milk Can Dramatically Impact A Mom’s Breast Size
Most of us know that breastfeeding can cause changes in the size of a woman’s breasts, but what may come as a surprise is how much a nursing mom’s chest can fluctuate within a single day. Mom Chi-Chi LaFlare proved this point by sharing an Instagram post highlighting the size of her breasts before and after pumping one liter of breastmilk.
The first photo is a snap of LaFlare’s chest when she woke up in the morning, just before her first pump of the day. The second shot is an image of her breasts shortly after pumping—and they were significantly smaller in size. “When you sleep in and wake up not knowing who that girl is with the huge knockers…” she cheekily wrote in the post’s caption before sharing in the comments that she’s “naturally an overproducer” of milk.
LaFlare runs Chi-Chi’s Magic Milk, a nonprofit geared toward promoting breastfeeding and encouraging moms to share breast milk, so she’s used to sharing intimate snippets of her nursing habits. LaFlare’s Instagram followers frequently share their appreciation for her honesty by commenting on her posts, and reveal that she makes them feel less alone in their own breastfeeding journeys. Below, take a look at LaFlare’s before-and-after post, as well as a few other posts highlighting the ups and downs of nursing.
