Vanessa Lachey’s High Heel For ShoeDazzle (And Her #1 Favorite Fall Trend)

Following in the footsteps of celebs like Jenny McCarthy and Kristin Chenoweth, actress, host, and soon-to-be mom, Vanessa Lachey is adding designer to her resume. She’s teamed up with the well-known site ShoeDazzle to design a military-inspired high-heeled bootie to support the charity Operation Shower.

Dubbed the “Monroe,” (after, you know, Marilyn) the faux-snakeskin bootie works both on and off duty (…see what I just did there?). I caught up with Vanessa and picked her brain for sage styling advice…

How she’d wear the bootie: “I would style it with skinny jeans, layers on top (blazer, leather jacket, or trendy overcoat), some great bold accessories, and a handbag. If you don’t go bold on the coat, then go bold on the bag!”

Where she’d wear them: “This shoe is great for either a night out with the girls or date night with your man. It dresses up even the simplest outfit, and gives you that fashion edge.”

The shoes every woman should own: “I think a classic nude stiletto should be every woman’s closet must-have. It goes from day to night and with everything! Choose the right shade and style for you. I have a lighter patent nude, no platform, 5-inch heel, pointed toe, and it is my go to EVERY TIME when I just can’t find the right shoe.”

“Also, a staple flat is necessary. Being pregnant and soon, being a mom, I have a whole new respect for flats. Sometimes you want to dress up an outfit, but not put on your heels. So a staple flat is necessary. Flip flops, aren’t the only flats out there. Explore, and see what works best for you. But definitely invest. Because when you pull them out to complete your outfit, you still want to feel like a woman, and feminine, and girly or trendy. Even in flats, that’s possible!”

Her must-try trend of the season: “I am a fall fashion girl! I LOVE this season and everything that comes along with it. One of my favorite trends this year are the wine-colored pieces I am seeing in multiple collections. I think paired with the Monroe bootie, you have a fashion home-run!”
