How Would You Fix My Room?

It was a big weekend for your intrepid blogger. Saturday, of course, was Valentine’s Day, and I did it up proper with Angie and her homegirl Miranda. We danced and imbibed with gusto, and at no point did I envy all of the couples out there who were cuddled up on the couch watching DVDs and turning in early (although their heads probably felt a lot better than mine on Sunday). I also hit up two fashion shows: Y-3, where my fellow guests included Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Reggie Bush and Tyson Beckford, and Akiko Ogawa, where I introduced myself to the incomparable Julia Allison. But the high/lowlight of my three-day break was watching Joanna at Smitten make over my bedroom. That’s right, Erin and I are on video for the first time. Go check it out and report back here – while Joanna did a great job, I need some more help making my humble abode third date-ready.

It’s a little blurry, but that’s Lupe Fiasco, Kanye, Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush.

OK, so the lamp, sheets and picture definitely made my room a little livelier, but the walls are still pretty bare and I think it’s time to invest in some art. My requirements are simple – I want something thought-provoking, a little unconventional and not crazy expensive. Of course, I also want it to appeal to any womenfolk who might happen to wander in. Here are my fave four:

0217 End da

The End – I love the feeling of contentment that washes over you right after you’ve finished watching a great old movie.

0217 Seattle da

Seattle – To match the awesome Brooklyn poster Joanna picked out for me.

0217 Dinosaur da

Dinosaur – I love the color in this one.

0217 Flock da

Flock of birds – Joanna turned me onto this guy. His stuff is do damn crisp.

Which one do you like best? Any other tips on how I can make my bedroom more appealing? What’s the worst guy bedroom you’ve ever seen?
