Things That Sound Sexy But Aren’t: Using Ice Cubes During Oral Sex

One sex tip I hear again and again involves ice cubes and your equipment downstairs. Clearly, I’m no prude when it comes to hooking up but this chilly sensation is one that I am not a fan of.

Maybe it’s because I’m one of those people who is always cold? My hands and feet are forever freezing, even when the weather is warm. So the idea of using ice cubes during oral sex isn’t all that appealing. The theory behind this sex tip makes sense—switching off between cold (ice cube) and warm (your mouth) sensations during oral sex or third base can be a fun way to send sexy shivers up and down your spine.

Of course I’ve tried this icy move before and, well, my parts felt freezing! And if we’re being really honest, I felt like I had to pee. But different strokes for different folks, as they say. A number of guys I know love this move. Plus, one of my very close gal pals swears by it. She loves using ice cubes on her bedroom partners and she loves it even more when they return the favor.
