How Often Did You (Or Will You!) Have Sex On Your Honeymoon?
You just even mention the word “honeymoon” to some people and you get sidelong glances and knowing smiles. A honeymoon is supposed to be all about the sex–or is it? I have to tell you what happened to my friend (she still talks about it!)…
I mean, maybe you’ll just want to frolic on the beach all day like this happy couple! (This picture makes me laugh.)
My friend planned her honeymoon like she planned her wedding: precisely. She’s a very organized person, and when it came to going to Cozumel for her honeymoon, she had a super-duper Checklist of Fun to follow: some scuba here, sightseeing excursions there, spa appointments, touristy adventures. The new couple was busy–so busy, they were too exhausted to even think about having sex until day three of their trip! Then, her new husband got a nasty sunburn on his back when he was snorkeling, and it kind of made even the idea of sex unappealing after that–neither one of them was all that turned on by the smell of aloe gel. I think they managed to do it once in their entire ten-day trip.
Here’s my confession: my husband and I still haven’t taken a honeymoon. Yes, we got married approximately 50 months ago and we have yet to jet off to a beach or a foreign land or, well, anywhere at all, even though we talk about finally doing it all the time (this is probably a whole other story!)–so I can’t even answer my own question.
But I’m dying to know your answer!
__If you’re already married: when you were on your honeymoon, did you end up having sex a lot or a little? And if you’re not married yet: when you imagine your honeymoon, does sex play a big part in it?
