Zach Galifianakis Got Married In Secret—After Leaking Fake Wedding Invitations to the Media!
Zach Galifianakis said “I do” to longtime girlfriend Quinn Lundberg in Canada last weekend after pulling a switcheroo on the paparazzi!
A fake wedding invitation (see it here) and multiple reports had the couple hosting a rehearsal dinner at the Tea House in Vancouver’s Stanley Park last Thursday and then exchanging vows on Saturday at a Greek Orthodox church in Vancouver. (The site with the fake invite whited out the venue address, but obviously they thought they had the top-secret info!)
From local gossip site Vancitybuzz.com: “The couple pulled a three-card Monte and kept us guessing on where the event would actually take place. Having paparazzi posted at all the Greek Orthodox churches in the Vancouver area, frustration grew as Zach and Quinn were no shows.”
Zach and Quinn did tie the knot over the weekend, but they were at a private ceremony at a UBC Farm, a farm linked to the University of British Columbia, while the paparazzi were running all over town. Tee hee!
From Us Weekly: “It was super-private and intimate and only lasted about 30 minutes—everyone was out by 5 p.m.” The reception followed at a local restaurant.
Thoughts on Zach and Quinn’s super-secret nuptials?
I think it’s awesome that they managed to pull it off. And I feel like celebs who whine about paparazzi ruining their weddings should take notes: Keep it small and don’t get married in NYC or LA! (And a fake invite or two doesn’t hurt!)
