Amanda Seyfried’s New Bangs Are the Perfect Cut for All of Us Who Just Can’t Decide
With all the time many of us spend thinking about whether to get bangs before each visit to the hairdresser on a seasonal basis, we could probably grow back an ill-fated fringe. After all, it’s not just the “do-I-don’t-I?” struggle, but it’s also how short, how textured, how retro? (If you need a few looks for inspiration, by the way, check out the best bangs for your face shape.)
Here to solve our dilemmas is Amanda Seyfried, who just over a month ago, decided to welcome the last part of summer with short, dark brown hair, which was a huge step away from the blond shades we’ve come to associate her with. Her bangs with this new look were full-forehead and eyebrow-skimming—which is a pretty standard way to test the waters.
But she changed it up on us Thursday with a brand-new look for fall—and it’s a pretty unique one that has a super-practical purpose. Her new bangs, which keep a part intact before falling gently to either side of her face, are the ultimate in flexibility for those of us who just can’t decide. Pin ’em back if you’re not feeling the fringe; rock them down like Seyfried is in the pics below if you’re really loving the look. (And, might we add, she’s back to a dark blond that pulls in fall’s warm, golden tones).
Basically, it’s the perfect way to stall before committing to either growing them out again or chopping them even shorter—or going for full-on bangs. Plus, they seem like they’d be incredibly low maintenance (not that we’d expect any less from a gal who gets ready in two minutes).
