Check Out My Friend’s Ugly Manicure (Have You Had A Nail Polish FAIL Lately?)

I have this friend–oh wait, you might know her–who accidentally chose an ugly nail polish when she got her weekly manicure on Friday afternoon. And she agreed to let me share it with you.

When she picked up this Essie shade (she has either genuinely forgotten the exact name or is protecting the innocent), she thought it would be a “pink-ish, slightly shimmery nude”. But it was not.

No, it’s more of a “grandma-ish dusty rose”, or something from the unfortunate “salmon” family of nail polish shades.

Poor Kim. It happens to the best of us! Those rows of nail polish options at the salon sure can be overwhelming and confusing. (Btw, have you seen the amaze SRSLY video on the topic of nail polish selection? If not, you must watch.)

Kim did attempt to salvage the ill-fated manicure by brushing on a glitter topcoat–an idea I thought just might work–but alas, it was just Fail Take 2. Here’s an update pic she just emailed me.

Plus, now the glitter will make removing the whole fiasco take four times as long.
