In Memory of Amy Winehouse: The Singer’s 3 Signature Beauty Looks
While Amy Winehouse’s signature beauty moves were risky, they were nothing if not distinctive. And sometimes, they were actually kinda fabulous. In memory of the signer – who passed away yesterday in London – here are three signature beauty looks we’ll miss almost as much as her beautiful songs (which we’ll always love).

The Beehive: Amy’s signature beehive was definitely taller than Elvira’s and frequently adorned with flowers or a retro headband, as if to say “What? It needed a little something extra!”. When Karl Lagerfeld sent models down the Chanel catwalk with those signature hives, an iconic do was born.

The Cat Eye Liner: Amy’s cat eye was not a “flick” so much as it was a full-on wing that reached her brow (and sometimes extended beyond it) and it totally captured Amy’s retro sense of style both on the red carpet and in her music. I love this look because it walks the line between regular girl subtle and Lady Gaga extreme – which not too many people have the guts to do.

The Nails: Amy sported this half-moon manicure back in 2007, way before it was a thing on the runway and red carpet. In fact, she frequently sported the trendy-again long nail look – as any vintage lovin’ lady would.
