Kardashian Kornrows: Now Kendall Is Wearing Them

Cornrow braids seem to be contagious with the Kardashian-Jenner crew. We’ve seen them pop up from time to time on Kim and Khloe, but after the Kylie Jenner/Amandla Stenberg cultural misappropriation feud a few weeks ago in which the Hunger Games actress accused Kylie of being racially insensitive by going for the look, we thought perhaps the family would phase them out. Well, that isn’t the case because yesterday in St. Bart’s, where the girls are filming Keeping up with the Kardashians, Kendall was caught with them.

This is an unusual choice for Kendall—the model tends toward the sleekest, simplest styles of the clan. But there’s no doubt cornrows are having a big moment in the sun right now among celebrities. Amanda Seyfried and Zoe Kravitz are two other stars that have gone for them recently. Plus, Kendall is in a humid climate right now, and if there’s one thing that helps hide frizz it’s a braid—or several of them.
