Kim Kardashian Has an Angled Lob Now

It’s official: Kim Kardashian’s long, wavy, extension-filled hair is now a thing of the past—for now, at least. While we’re used to Kylie Jenner switching up her hairstyle on what seems to be every other day, Kim tends to keep to her signature style stagnant more often than not, which is why we’re reeling over her latest dramatic chop.

Kardashian debuted her new hairstyle, cut by celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton (who also routinely works with Shay Mitchell and Christina Aguilera), in a video selfie on her Snapchat account. From the video, we can tell that this haircut is just the latest example of everyone’s celebrity-favorite chop, the lob. But, considering Kim’s BFF Chrissy Teigen and her sister Khloé Kardashian are the original lob pioneers in Hollywood, we shouldn’t be surprised that Kim wanted to give it a try too, tweaking the look so it’s her own, of course. A few of the differences between Kim’s lob and Khloé’s? While Khloé’s is a tousled shag, Appleton instead went with more of an asymmetrical cut for Kim. Khloé also tends to wear hers in tousled beach waves, whereas Kim’s is so sleek, shiny, and straight here, it almost looks fake.

Keep in mind, we haven’t seen hair this short on Kim in awhile. The last time we got a peek into a Kim Kardashian haircut, she only got a small trim. Kendall Jenner also just got her shortest haircut ever, so is this a new horizon for Kardashian hair? If Kris grows out her pixie, then we’ll know it’s for sure.
