Lancôme Juicy Shakers (A.K.A. Juicy Tubes 2.0!) Are Finally Here
If Lancôme Juicy Tubes were one of the formative beauty products of your youth—ranking as high on the nostalgia-meter as Hard Candy nail polish, Bath & Body Works Sun-Ripened Raspberry lotion, and Glints—get emotionally prepared, because a 2016 reboot just hit stores, and your grown-up self will find it just as fun-slash-crazy-addictive.
We’re talking about Lancôme Juicy Shakers, a reimagination of flavored lip gloss that has us legitimately excited to make the stuff a handbag staple again. Concocted by Lancôme’s creative director, celebrity makeup artist Lisa Eldridge, this product is a blend of the old-school Juicy Tubes and one of the brand’s even older-school products: the Shaker, a lipstick housed in a martini-shaker-shaped tube released in 1946 (when cocktails were first becoming a symbol of glamour). Unlike that lipstick, the Juicy Shakers are designed to require a little shake as the name implies—this blends its pigments with conditioning oils before application, for a finish that’s dewy and non-goopy. And of course all 20 flavors/shades are fittingly delicious and vaguely reminiscent of adult beverages (there’s even a blue one that goes on clear!)
See it in action:
You can get your Juicy Shakers for $21 a pop on lancome-usa.com now and at Lancôme counters nationwide on April 21. We can’t wait to whip ours out during our first sidewalk-drinks session of spring.
