Should My Friend Get The Ashley Olsen Haircut?

Most of you probably know my best friend Kim by now, and hopefully you’ve been reading her new Glamour blog, Little Miss Fortune. Well Little Miss Kim needs a little beauty advice at the moment. She’s fallen a little bit in love with Ashley Olsen’s new bob, which we discussed earlier this week. She’s thinking about getting it.

Disclaimer: It’s not me suggesting that Kim chop off her hair. Despite what she may have implied in certain homemade animated movies on her blog, I do not find her current hairstyle “stupid and unglam.”

Now that that’s out of the way, let’s get back to the topic at hand. Kim’s considering going all Ashley on us. Here are some photos of Kim and the haircut in question, to jog your memory. (Please disregard the tiara–these are the only Kim shots I had on hand at the moment.)

Perhaps this goes without saying, but Kim would get the style sans the random longer dangly piece in the front (which most of you said you found a little odd). She would, however, like it to be longer in front, shorter in back. My vote as the bff? I am 100-percent in support of her getting this cut. I think it’ll look fabulous, framing her cute face and giving her hair lots more swing and volume. Plus, Kim had short hair (sometimes short-short–and sometimes blond, but I digress) for most of our 10ish-year friendship, so I still actually picture her as a short-haired girl in my mind, even though the reality is that she’s had it below the shoulders for a while now.
