You Won’t Even Recognize Kendall Jenner With Blond Hair and Purple Lipstick

By now we’ve all seen enough of Kendall Jenner that we could easily pick her out of a crowd. You know her signature: stick-straight jet-black hair, no-makeup makeup, and an outfit guaranteed to make headlines (that may or may not involve ankle cuffs). But in her new ad for Pepsi (which is currently being met with mixed reviews), there’s one thing about Jenner’s look that’s noticeably different. So much so that she almost doesn’t even register as a member of America’s most famous family. We’re talking about her hair color. In place of her regular dark lob is a swingy bright blond cut. Also less Kendall and more Kylie of her: She’s wearing purple lipstick.

But here’s the catch. The blond is definitely temporary. The model has celebrity hairstylist Lacy Redway to thank for the makeover—which is eerily reminiscent to when Kendall’s half-sister Kim Kardashian West tried out platinum blond. (In fact, nearly all of Jenner’s siblings have dabbled in bright blond at some point, so she’s in great company.)

The wig is just one of several ways Jenner has switched up her look this year. If you recall, she got a lob back in February, and she’s also been playing with parting her hair to the side (as opposed to the middle). Here’s hoping Jenner goes platinum again in the near future because it’s pure fire—or, well, sunshine.
