Jennifer Lawrence Wants Chris Pratt To Play Her Brother in the Movie She Wrote With Amy Schumer

Jennifer Lawrence loves to work with her friends. She’s made, like, 10 movies with Bradley Cooper, and now it seems J.Law can’t get enough of Chris Pratt in her life. Even though Lawrence and Pratt just wrapped their (somewhat bumpy) press tour for the sci-fi film Passengers, Jen’s apparently already thinking about the pair’s next opportunity to work together. This time, though, J.Law hopes she and Pratt will come together for the sake of comedy with none other than her BFF Amy Schumer.

Jennifer Lawrence has been co-writing what she calls a “hilarious” script with Schumer for a while now, and after months of teasing, we finally have some hard intel about what the film’s plot will actually be…and who will be involved. Hint, hint: It’s not Bradley Cooper.

As J.Law told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live! on Monday night (December 19), the movie is a family affair. “It’s about two sisters who go on a road trip to try to connect with their brother,” Lawrence told Cohen. Jen and Amy will play the sisters, of course. Jen added that it would be a “dream come true” if Pratt co-starred as their brother in the movie.

If their press tour hijinks are any indication of their chemistry as a LOL-worthy pair, we’re sold. Pratt has also been low-key roasting Lawrence on Instagram for weeks with this subtle “I cut Jennifer Lawrence out of all my pictures” bit. Seems like something a brother and sister might do, actually.

Pratt’s presence in Jen’s life might’ve even changed her mind about the movie itself. Lawrence was previously asked if her and Amy’s movie had room for her Hunger Games costars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth, and she gave Entertainment Tonight a pretty definitive answer. Specifically, she said “No, no, no, no, no … There’s not really boys in it.”

Maybe in Hollywood, five nos means “yes, as long as it’s Chris Pratt.”
