Royals Are Reportedly Worried About the Sex Scene in Meghan and Harry’s Lifetime Movie

There’s one party who’s not too thrilled about the upcoming Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Lifetime movie: Buckingham Palace. The royals are reportedly clutching their pearls about a possible love scene after viewing the trailers. “What I’ve heard is that they’re seriously worried about the sex scene,” Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance director Menhaj Huda told Vanity Fair on Thursday. As for how Huda knows, he revealed to the magazine that his wife’s best friend is dating the palace’s press secretary.

The Harry & Meghan team, however, are not too concerned about the royals’ concern. “Let them worry,” joked producer Meredith Finn. “People have sex.” Meanwhile, coscreenwriter Scarlett Lacey was a little more measured with her words. “They’re definitely aware of the film, let’s put it that way,” she said to Vanity Fair.

From what we’ve seen in the trailers, though, if there is indeed a sex scene, it seems pretty tame and respectful. The clip in question comes from one of the newer trailers, in which Meghan Markle (Parisa Fitz-Henley) and Prince Harry (Murray Fraser) are lying in bed together, about to kiss. As in, they don’t even kiss, and they’re both covered with bedsheets.
