This Emma Watson Look-alike Could Even Fool Dumbledore

If you’re a Harry Potter fan who wishes magic were real, you might be convinced once you see this Emma Watson look-alike.

Kari Lewis, a Watson fan and serious doppelgänger, realized her uncanny resemblance to the actress when the first Harry Potter film premiered, she tells BuzzFeed. “I didn’t know who Emma Watson was when I was first spotted at a postal office and a couple of young girls told me I looked like Hermione Granger,” the Indianapolis local said. “I had no idea who Hermione was, nor have I ever heard of that name, at the time, since this was when the first Harry Potter film was released. So my mom and I had to look it up and find out who she was.”

Lewis credited those girls with introducing her to the Harry Potter fandom. “I think they sort of started my dive into the Harry Potter universe. I’ve always loved reading books since I first learned how to read, so I think it was inevitable for me to like Harry Potter so much once I started reading it. I think it’s supercool because I’ve always related to Hermione in the books (smart, bossy, avid reader, etc). So it makes cosplaying as Hermione at conventions a thousand times better!” she told BuzzFeed.

Her cosplaying game is undeniably on point. In pictures shared on her Instagram account, Lewis plays up her amazingly Watson-esque features by donning a Hogwarts uniform, street clothes remarkably similar to the ones Hermione wears in the later Harry Potter films, and an apron-dress combo that perfectly evokes Beauty and the Beast‘s Belle. She also recently posted a photo, one half of which showed her face and the other half, Watson’s—and it’s legitimately difficult to tell who’s who. At this point, the only logical conclusion is that Lewis somehow got her hands on some Polyjuice Potion.
