This Is How Emma Watson Reacted to Watching ‘Fantastic Beasts’
There are few things greater in this (wizarding) world than to have the approval of Hermione Granger Emma Watson. And now, the actress is proudly bestowing that honor on the Fantastic Beasts film, which she watched, adored and then tweeted about in emoji-filled glee.
Watson, who, of course, played the badass, whip smart Granger in the Harry Potter franchise, asked her social media followers to tweet her their thoughts about the film, after she admitted to loving it, along with not one, but five, adorable animal emojis. Now that’s a movie rating we could all get behind.

Disclaimer: We’re sure Watson’s opinion was biased considering Fantastic Beasts was probably one of her favorite textbooks at Hogwarts.
Regardless of the conflict of interest, within hours Muggles and wizards alike had responded to Watson’s question, excited to share their thoughts about the film that stars the charming Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander in a 1920’s New York. Most fans said they loved the film, but a few did say it paled in comparison to the original series. Others just couldn’t get enough of that Niffler.

Watson has always remained true to her Potter roots. Earlier this year she supported the cast of Cursed Child by penning a message on Facebook in which she called the play “amazing” and dubbing it better than the films.
“Having seen it I felt more connected to Hermione and the stories than I have since ‘Deathly Hallows’ came out, which was such a gift,” she wrote.
The actress also offered some advice to Fantastic Beasts star, and her former Perks of Being a Wallflower co-star, Ezra Miller, after he found out he had the job, so she can take a tad bit of credit for the movie’s success — racking in $75 million in its opening weekend. And luckily, for Watson, there will be four more films to come in the franchise so there’s plenty more magic heading her way.
