This Teen Dressed Up Rihanna, and RiRi Herself Approves
There’s no greater compliment than being told by Rihanna herself that you dress up like RiRi better than RiRi, and that’s exactly the honor that was bestowed upon one teen. Shania Ruedas Bernal, a 17-year-old from California, decided to dress up as Rihanna for her school’s “Celebrity Day” after spotting a photo of the singer at a party for her album Anti.
“Obviously Rihanna looked amazing, and then I realized that I could pull together an outfit that’ll look very similar to hers,” she told Buzzfeed.
Bernal put the look together and tweeted a side-by-side photo of herself and Rihanna. The post blew up—it’s received more than 48,000 likes and 20,000 retweets—and the Internet was unanimous that she nailed it. From the dark lip to the outfit to the facial expression, the pic definitely made us do a double take.

The post also caught the attention of Instagram account @247papstv, who reposted the viral photo a few days later.

And that’s when Bad Girl RiRi herself took notice. She pretty much says it all in her comment on the post: “How she do me betta than me doe?? ”
When Bernal saw that Rihanna had given her blessing to her costume, she posted the most relatable tweet of all time.

Bernal told Buzzfeed, “I wanted to walk out of the classroom and scream. It was honestly the greatest feeling in the world to be complimented by Rihanna herself.”
