How To Wear The 70s Denim Skirt, By Claudia Schiffer
The 70s are having a moment in the spotlight this season and with that comes A-line denim skirts that sit high on the waist and come straight to the knee. Did you just shiver a little? I know – it’s not the easiest look to pull off. Good thing we have Claudia Schiffer, patron saint of 70s denim, on our side!
Claudia strutted down the streets of London wearing a 70s denim skirt not once, but twice, this week – and in typical supermodel fashion, she made it look like a piece of cake.
Here’s what I think we can learn from Claudia:
Famous ladies with lots of clothes wear the same thing two days in a row–and that realization/sighting never gets old.
Even if your legs go for miles, an A-line denim skirt that hits below the knee needs a heel (if only a modest one)
Go for a pretty, lightweight blouse in a pale color and tuck it in
Big sunglasses and a cross body satchel = 70s cool meets on-the-go common sense
Need some ladylike pizazz? (Who doesn’t?!) Add a pretty, vintage-inspired scarf or a cool metallic cuff
“Supermodel” is partially a state of mind. Stand tall, ladies!
