Dating Poll: How Long Do You Wait For a Guy to Call/Text You?

I just made one of the more humiliated female-appropriated moves: after hearing nothing for a few days, I texted him.

It even happens in The Matrix, playa!

Which was clearly a mistake, seeing as it’s pretty easy to know when dude’s ready to bail after the ol’ Date 3. I’m pretty sure I have a Date 3 curse. Occam’s Razor was put into play a number of times on this one, but in the end I went ahead and texted. Why not? (He hasn’t responded.)

A bunch of friends advised me to go ahead and do it, saying 2-3 days without a text message didn’t mean anything. What do you guys think? Being a modern woman, Sez The World, means you don’t have to wait around. It would be awesome if that were, like, true? (Sometimes it is, but not usually within the first three dates, right?)

Fortunately, I had a good remedy last night: Soul food in Harlem with my best guy friends and a 3D screening of John Carter of Mars. Yayyyy.

Ughh. Another one bites the dust. How long does it take for y’all to figure out a dude’s vanishing act? And how do you repair your morale? (I suggest chicken and waffles.)
