Celebrity Weddings: Alyson Hannigan, Alexis Denisof Renewing Their Vows After 10 Years

I’m not the biggest fan of vow renewal ceremonies {*Like I always say, “I meant ’em the first time.” *}, especially when celebs host an over-the-top vow renewal every friggin’ year. (See: Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon.) But Alyson Hannigan and Alexis Denisof, her husband of almost a decade, have a vow renewal in the works, and I’m totally OK with it. Alyson tweeted this sweetness over the weekend:

My hubby @AlexisDenisof surprised me with the most romantic day of my life yesterday! Which included another proposal & ring! I said YES!

*And it totally made me smile. *

I mean, they’ve been together through 10 years, two kids, and I’m assuming some ups and downs. They’re probably not exactly the same people they were when they first said “I do.” I suspect they won’t stage a crazy second-time-around-wedding in Paris, and I can almost guarantee they won’t host a prince-and-princess-themed vow renewal in Disney the very next year. The difference, to me, between Nick and Mariah and Alyson and Alexis is that the former couple is constantly making a spectacle of their big, fat, in-your-face love, while the latter is looking to have fun—and eat cake.

And now we get to have our kids at this ceremony 🙂

I’m guessing her vow renewal will be just as tasteful.
