We’ve GOT to Go Over Keira Knightley’s Eye Makeup Here! It’s Soooooo Insanely Gorgeous!
I’ve basically been obsessing about the eye makeup Keira Knightley wore to the premiere of A Dangerous Method earlier this week ever since Petra posted about her hairstyle yesterday. And if I’m obsessing, I figure some of you will be, too. So I’m really doing a public service here by going over it in detail. I’d totally get points for this for Beta Club.
The look:
Now for the closeup:
Just stunning.
Here are the major elements:

She’s got a ring of black eyeliner pencil. It’s thick and it even goes around her inner corners.

Then on her top lids, it appears that there’s also some black liquid liner upping the smokiness factor. You can see a hint of it on the left side there.

There’s a whole lot of coppery peach shadow, allllllllll the way around. Shimmery coppery peach.

And then there’s a light taupey beigey pinky neutral color (yes, that’s a professional description—hush!) on inner half of her upper lids. See it there on the left side? You can spot it right above the start of the white of her eye.

To finish, a shimmery almost-white shade was dotted in the nook of her inner corners.

And finally it was mascara—and I suspect faux-lash—time.
I am so in love with the way all these elements come together. The looks is glamorous and warm and sexy—all those good things you strive for when you go for a smoky eye. If you’re now planning on going for it, here are some shades to consider:
